Tube Cases Readers

Will this be a fucking awesome PC for gaming?
My friends and I are building a PC. Here are the items: Ultra aluminus ATX Mid-Tower case EVGA nForce 780i motherboard Intel Core 2 Quad 2.66 GHz, NVIDIA 8800GT Ageia PhysX card hitatchi Deskstar 500GB Sony 20x DVD / CD Drive (burning / reading) Ultra X3 1000 watt power supply 3-4 GB of RAM NVIDIA SLI edition Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler 3 mascool blue LED 80 cfm 120 mm case fans a Zalman 6 fan controller a Corsair Dominator Memory Airflow Fan A memory card reader in a drive bay and a green 12 "Green Cold Cathode light tube, we will also get more free hard drives and a good sound card from some earlier paragraph. My friend has two twenty-inch screens. All these parts, we get for $ 1270 + S & H. Is this a good trade?
Dude, save yourself another hundred bucks (most 1kW PSUs is $ 300) and demoting PSU! You can snag the Thermaltake Toughpower 750W for just only $ 130, or 850 for $ 170. One is more than enough for the system, even overclocked. You could do it better for the CPU cooler if you want to overclock it. It is good to reduce the temps, but the Tuniq Tower or Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme is where it's at for performance CPU cooling. The only drawback to this is the size of the heatsink. It does not fit in thinner cases. It is not the hottest thing on the block, but it's not bad either. I would personally recommend against Ageia card. Nvidia will release a driver update in the future, adds PhysX support for 8 and 9 series graphics cards. Plus, there are only about 8-10 games actually support physics cards. So save the money or use it to buy a 8800GT (512 MB) and put them in SLI.

Cherokee Cases
$24.95 This compact history is the first to explore two landmark U.S. Supreme Court cases of the early 1830s: Cherokee Nation v. Georgia and Worcester v. Georgia. Legal historian Jill Norgren details the extraordinary story behind these cases, describing how John Ross and other leaders of the Cherokee Nation, having internalized the principles of American law, tested their sovereignty rights before Chief Justice John Marshall in the highest court of the land. Written in a style accessible both to students and to general readers, The Cherokee Cases is an ideal guide to understanding the political development of the Cherokee Nation in the early nineteenth century and the tragic outcome of these cases so critical to the establishment of U.S. Federal Indian law. |

Cases of Acute and Chronic Diseases Easily Cured: For Mature Readers Only
$12.62 Cases of Acute and Chronic Diseases Easily Cured is a collection of real life stories of patients who were treated by the author in his clinic during his very busy practice as an Ayurved Doctor and the Psychologist in India and Kenya. This collection of cases speaks volumes for his skill as a doctor and a writer and his unique insights into medical and psychological matters as are reflected in many of his public lectures on ''Worries'', ''Theory of Karma'', ''Prescription for Happy Marriages'', ''Food as Medicine'' and ''Life after Death''. For persons who might experience some of the concerns dealt with - especially those of an embarrassing sexual nature such as masturbation, underdeveloped breasts and sterility - and who might be reluctant to discuss their problems openly with a doctor, this book will be of inestimable value and may well reassure them that their problems are by no means unique. |

Cold Cases
$58.95 Murders and other violent crimes often leave an indelible mark on society. The 18th-century murder of "Beautiful Cigar Girl" Mary Rogers helped the then newly emerging tabloid papers become a fixture in the United States. The Federal Aviation Administration was spurred into requiring electronic screening of passengers and carry-on luggage by a series of highly-publicized hijackings. Abductions of youth gave birth to Amber Alerts and advertising missing children on milk cartons. And popular TV shows like Law and Order, CSI, and Cold Case document our fascination with police investigations, heinous criminals, and the complicated aftermath of their actions. This book examines 40 well-known cases of unsolved murders and suspected abductions over a period of over 160 years. Cases are organized chronologically to give readers insight into the evolution of criminal investigation techniques and forensics in the last century and a half. Later chapters detail how modern forensics were used in attempts to solve old cold cases or helped generate new leads. |

The Slaughterhouse Cases
$17.48 The Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution, ratified in 1868, sought to protect the rights of the newly freed slaves; but its first important test did not arise until five years later. That test centered on a vitriolic dispute among the white butchers of mid-Reconstruction New Orleans. The rough-and-tumble world of nineteenth-century New Orleans was a sanitation nightmare, with the city's slaughterhouses dumping animal remains into local backwaters. When Louisiana authorized a monopoly slaughterhouse to bring about sanitation reform, many independent butchers felt disenfranchised. Framing their case as an infringement of rights protected by the new amendment, they flooded the lower courts with nearly 300 suits. The surviving cases that reached the U.S. Supreme Court pitted the butchers' right to labor against the state's "police power" to regulate public health. The result was a controversial decision that for the first time addressed the meaning and import of the Fourteenth Amendment. Speaking for the majority in the Court's 5-4 decision, Justice Samuel F. Miller upheld the state's actions as a fair use of its "police power." He also argued that the Fourteenth Amendment was intended exclusively as a means of protecting and redressing the suffering of former slaves. The result was a very restricted interpretation of the amendment's "privileges and immunities," "due process," and "equal protection" clauses. In striking contrast, the minority, led by Justices Stephen Field and Joseph Bradley, claimed that the Fourteenth Amendment had been intended to apply to all Americans, not just former slaves, and therefore protected the butchers' right to labor in their chosen profession. Engagingly written and concisely crafted for students and general readers, this newly abridged edition provides a very accessible guide to one of the Supreme Court's most famous cases. This book is part of the Landmark Law Cases and American Society series. |
